Kolhapur, Satara got good rains

The Kolhapur and Sangli districts of Western Maharashtra have been receiving heavy rainfall in the last couple of days.

Heavy rains lashed the Gaganbawda, Chandgad, Radhanagari and Panhala tehsils on Thursday, partially affecting normal life.

The Panchganga river, which passes through Kolhapur district, has swollen because of heavy rainfall.

Due to the heavy rain, 32 Kolhapur type (KT) weirs have started overflowing affecting traffic.

The Anuskura mountain pass has been shut for vehicles, following incidents of landslides.

In Satara, the Mahabaleshwar hill station and Koyna Dam region also received heavy rainfall.
