Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on Tokyo visit from October 28 and 29 to hold the 13th India-Japan annual summit with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.

The forthcoming Modi-Abe summit will strengthen “multifaceted cooperation” between India and Japan in diverse fields. “It will also advance the vision of India and Japan working together to promote peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated on Friday.

The two Prime Ministers will have wide-ranging discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest, the MEA spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar, said.

The forthcoming summit is going to be the 12th summit between Modi and Abe.
