Poll-O-Meter: The Good Men’s party

Before the 1968 mid-term election to Bihar Assembly, Chief Election Commissioner S P Sen-Varma held a meeting with party leaders.

During discussions, one person told him that he would like to form a party in Bihar.

He said he will name it ‘The Good Men’s Party’.

This shows that many people in our country, even though they try to dabble in politics, have not really understood the nature and implications of the party system, Sen-Varma wrote later.
