West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said that BJP’s insistence of conducting NRC across the country if voted to power again will cause the downfall of the saffron party.

Banerjee who addressed two rallies in Malda district during the day also accused the Left Front and the Congress of colluding with the RSS in Bengal.

“We will never allow NRC in Bengal. It will boomerang on BJP and become the National Bidaay (Farewell) Certificate (NBC) for them,” said Banerjee.

She also said that having lost their political relevance the Left Front and the Congress have now joined hands with the RSS. The TMC supremo further alleged that the RSS was campaigning for Congress candidates in Bengal and were trying to bribe voters.

“ Left and Congress have lost political relevance and have now joined hands with RSS,” said Banerjee.

Addressing another rally in Pakuahat in Malda district later in the day the TMC supremo alleged that the RSS was active supporting Congress candidate from Jangipur Lok Sabha seat Abhijit Mukherjee and Adhir Chowdhury, Congress candidate from Baharampur Lok Sabha seat. Mukherjee is the son of former president Pranab Mukherjee.

She reiterated her claim that TMC will play a key role in forming the government at the Centre after the BJP is ousted from power.

Lashing out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Banerjee said that the people of the country will not forgive him for his blatant lies in the last five years and give him a fitting reply in the Lok Sabha elections.
