PM gets shawl-jacket made of banana threads

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Chhattisgarh’s  Kosa Town got a unique gift.

He received a jacket and shawl made from fabric whose source is the banana plant.

Prime minister Modi was in Janjgir-Champa district to launch various projects and address the farmers’ convention as part of ‘Atal Vikas Yatra’ on Saturday.

Modi thanked the couple and later mentioned it in his public address that making cloth from the banana stem proves that farmers can utilize unwanted materials to make useful things
