Railway chairman blames IRCTC for bad food

Railway Board Chairman Vivek Sahay blamed the IRCTC for all the problems and said that just after immediately after its creation we started receiving complaints and it went on increasing over the years. “We had no option but to change the things.”

Talking to reporters on Friday, the Railway Board chairman alleged that the IRCTC was not responding to the passengers’ complaints and the Railways had to take the blame. He also accused the corporation of creating “hegemony” and “monopoly” in awarding contracts. Sahay also said that the new catering policy will change the scenario of services in trains. “The policy ensures quality, accountability and efficient monitoring.”
