Rohit Shekhar Tiwari's wife arrested for his murder

Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested Apoorva Shukla, wife of Rohit Shekhar Tiwari for allegedly killing him.

Shekhar, who stayed in south Delhi's Defence Colony, was brought to Max Hospital in south Delhi on April 16 where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police had on Thursday registered a case of murder after post mortem showed that Shekhar died of "asphyxia" as he was strangulated and smothered. The case was later transferred to Crime Branch.

In 2008, Rohit filed the paternity suit claiming that former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand N D Tiwari was his biological father. In 2014, Tiwari finally accepted that Rohit was his son after lawsuits and a DNA test.
