Technocrat E Sreedharan, popularly known as ‘Metro Man’, is no longer the poster boy of the Election Commission as he joined the BJP.
The Election Commission in Kerala had been using posters of Sreedharan, apart from many other celebrities, to spread election-related messages.
The Chief Election Commission has now directed the Kerala Chief Electoral officer to withdraw the posters having Sreedharan’s pictures.
Election commission officials said that it was a normal procedure as the Election Commission has to ensure neutrality in the entire process.
