People aged 45 and 60 having comorbidities need not waste time and get certificates from a registered medical practitioner, said Mumbai-based health and wellness expert Dr Ashish Tiwari.
The vaccination drive in India started on January 16 when health workers and frontline workers were given vaccines and the second phase will start on 1 March when People above 60 and those above 45 years of age with comorbidities will be vaccinated.
“The Co-Win App would go live on 1 March, we must start preparing for that,” said Dr Tiwari, Director, ACS Health, Mumbai.
The certificate has to be issued by a registered medical practitioner who is registered in different medical councils.
“Vaccination will be done at 10,000 government and more than 20,000 private centres from March 1. The vaccine will be administered free of cost at government centres, while in private centres it would be at cost. The beneficiaries will be able to register themselves on the Co-WIN App,” said Dr Tiwari.
According to him, the process of registration is very important. “We must prepare for that,” he said, adding that the certificate would describe the comorbidity that the person has.
