<p>In a significant development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took controversial police officer Sachin Vaze to Antilia for crime scene recreation past midnight.</p>.<p>On February 24-25 midnight, Vaze (49), an Assistant Police Inspector working with the Crime Intelligence Unit of Crime Branch-CID parked a Scorpio SUV laden with 20-odd gelatin sticks and a threatening letter, nearly 300 metres of Antilia, the Carmichael Road residence of Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman Mukesh Ambani.</p>.<p>Vaze was made to walk along the road.</p>.<p>Over the last few days, Vaze, who was arrested last Saturday, has been taken to various locations in Mumbai and the neighbouring Thane district.</p>.<p>Vaze and the slain SUV owner Mansukh Hiren, both are residents of Thane city and knew each other well.</p>.<p><strong><a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/national/west/ambani-bomb-case-vaze-hiren-seen-meeting-on-day-scorpio-was-stolen-963920.html" target="_blank">Read | Ambani bomb case: Vaze, Hiren seen meeting on day Scorpio was 'stolen' </a></strong></p>.<p>The development comes a day after an NIA team comprising Inspector General of Police Anil Shukla and Superintendent of Police Vikram Khalate met newly-appointed Mumbai Police chief Hemant Nagrale.</p>.<p>During the meeting, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Milind Bharambe and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection) Akbar Pathan were present.</p>.<p>Besides the Scorpio, the NIA has seized four other cars/SUVs being used by Vaze — two Mercedes-Benz, a Toyata LandCruiser Prado and an Innova.</p>.<p>Vaze has been booked by the NIA in the Antilia case while the state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is investigating the suspected murder of Hiren.</p>
