Video targeting Gowda family goes viral

A video, of BJP organising secretary B L Santhosh criticising the family of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, has gone viral on the social media.

The video recording is of a ‘Mera Parivar, BJP Parivar’ programme held at Nanjangud, recently. In the video, Santhosh is said to have criticised Deve Gowda’s family in a veiled manner.

“In the old Mysuru region, politics is for the father,
his two sons and daughters-in-law of a prominent family.

“His family members themselves say that if tickets are given to non-family members to contest elections, they ditch after winning. But, they claim that theirs is a workers’ party,” Santhosh is seen as saying in the video.
