Philanthropy is a concept which encompasses the purpose of our life. One has to make philanthropy an indivisible part of our life, said Dwaraka Suryapeetha seer Suryacharya Sri Krishnadevanandagiri Maharaj.

He spoke after inaugurating the 86th session of ‘Sarvadharma Sammelana’, an all-religion convention on the occasion of Lakshadeepothsava celebrations in Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Wednesday.

“Human life is a work of philanthropy by the Lord. We must carry out humanitarian works to make life fruitful,” the seer advised.

Spiritual guide Sri M (Mumtaz Ali) said, “Whatever we know about spirituality is only the tip of the iceberg. Indian philosophy and spirituality are much more than what we see, listen and experience.” He advised people to learn the essence of all religions.

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade said the sole purpose of ‘Dharma’ was harmony. “The world can prosper only when we respect all religions. Religious ideologies should not be misused,” Heggade added.
