Silver jubilee of Billava Seva Samaja on Dec 2

The silver jubilee celebrations of Billava Seva Samaja-Kankanadi will be held on December 2.

BSS General Secretary J Dinesh Anchan said that the new auditorium of the association would be inaugurated on December 2 at 10.30 am.

A cultural procession will be taken out from Kankanadi Garodi to the auditorium. Diwakar Constructions Proprietor Diwakar will inaugurate the auditorium. District In-charge Minister U T Khader will be the chief guest. Association president K Dharmapal will preside over the programme. The valedictory programme will be held at 6.30 pm, he added.

Anchan said Billava Seva Samaja had been involved in a variety of social work like distribution of free books to students from Class I to Class X, post matric scholarships and felicitation of meritorious students. The association has also conducted many blood donation and free medical camps, involved in distribution of spectacles, medical assistance and so on, he added.

The Billava Seva Samaja has also been awarded District Rajyotsava Award this year, considering its social contributions, Anchan said.
