Rich flavours and the aromas of the Biryani have certainly made the dish comfort food for many meat-eaters. Even as the coronavirus pandemic shut restaurants and eateries, Biryani became the top food choice of millions during the lockdown in 2020, with more than one Biryani ordered every second, according to a Swiggy report.

However, a Dubai-based restaurant has introduced a new kind of Biryani, which is deemed as Dubai's most costliest Biriyani, and perhaps the world's most expensive one, with a rather unusual ingredient -- Gold.

Bombay Borough's The Royal Gold Biryani comes with edible 23-karat gold and is reportedly priced at 1000 United Arab Emirates Dirhams, nearly Rs 20,000.

The Biryani comes in a 'Thaal' and the arrangement includes about 3 kilograms of rice (with options of Biryani Rice, Keema Rice, and White and Saffron rice), baby potatoes, boiled eggs, roasted cashew, pomegranate, fried onions and mint.

In an Instagram post, it said, Kashmiri Lamb Seekh Kebabs, Rajput Chicken Kebabs, Mughlai Kofta, Malai Chicken Roast and Old Delhi Lamb Chops are the meat options that will rest on the bed of rice.

The treat does not stop there as the Biryani is also accompanied by Nihari Salan, Jodhpuri Salan, Badami sauce and Almond and Pomegranate Raita.

Once all of them fit into the plate, edible gold leaves blanket the Biryani.
