JOIN USInstagram brings Remix, TikTok's duet-like feature to Reels
Instagram launched short-video section Reels on it platform. It became an instant hit among users particularly in India, as TikTok got banned in the country due to user privacy security concerns.
Now, it has launched another TikTok Duet-inspired Remix for Reels. This feature will let the user edit the friend's reel videos.
Here's how to use Remix on Instagram Reels:
Step 1: Open the Reels section on Instagram, pick a media content and tap on the three-dot menu and select the 'Remix this Reel'
Step 2: Once selected, the screen splits with the original video in the left and the second half to add a new video the user wants to create or add his/her old video.
Step 3: Once the recording is done, users can customise the video with voice-over audio or add colour to the background and more.
Also, users can track their reels that have been remixed by others in the activity tab.
In a related development, Snapchat too is testing the same TikTok Duet-like feature dubbed as Remix.
