Motorola Moto G100, G50 5G series unveiled

Motorola seems to be on a roll, as it has barely a month since the Lenovo-owned company unveiled Moto E7 series phone and now, it has come up with two new Moto G series mobiles-- G100 and G50-- with 5G support.

The Moto G100 comes with a 6.7-inch full HD+ (2520× 1080p) LCD screen with 21:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, supports HDR10, offers peak brightness up to 560 nits, P2i water splash-resistant nano-coating, hybrid SIM slots (nano + nano / microSD), side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 11 OS, 7nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core, Adreno 650 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPPDDR5 RAM with 128GB/256GB (UFS 3.1) storage (expandable memory up to 1TB) and a 5000mAh battery with 20W turbocharging.

It boasts triple-camera module-- main 64MP Quad Pixel camera ( f/1.7, PDAF)+ 16MP 117-degree ultra-wide angle lens (PDAF, 2.8cm macro, f/2.2) + 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4) + TOF (Time Of Flight) advanced Laser Autofocus, audio zoom, Ring LED flash. On the front, it features dual-snappers - primary 16MP Quad Pixel snapper (f/2.2) + 8MP 118-degree ultra-wide camera (f/2.4).

It comes in two colours--Iridescent Ocean and Iridescent Sky-- and will be available with prices starting at €499.99 (approx. 42,651) initially in European markets this month and will be released to other markets later.

The new Moto G50 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720p) MaxVision display with 90Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, hybrid dual SIM tray, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, P2i water splash-resistant nano-coating, Android 11, 8nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 octa-core CPU, Adreno 619 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage (expandable memory up to 1TB)

It features triple-camera module-- a 48MP Quad Pixel (f/1.7) snapper + 2MP depth + 5MP macro cameras (f/2.4) with LED flash. On the front, it houses 13MP (f/2.2).

As said before, both the Moto G100 and G50 series support 5G. They promise to offer high-speed internet up to 100Mbps data download. With improvement in infrastructure, the speed will break 1Gbps data transfer speed on the wireless cellular network.

The Moto G50 comes in two colours--Steel Grey and Aqua Green-- with prices starting at €249.99 (roughly Rs 21,328).
