Abraham wins hurdles gold; Kerala bag overall title

The Kerala athlete, who holds the national as well the meet records, crossed the finish line in 51.11 seconds while Avin A Thomas of Athletics Federation of India clocked 51.38 to take the silver at the Birsa Munda stadium. Kerala won the overall title with 11 gold medals, followed by Haryana (6) and Uttar Pradesh (5).

Kerala’s Sini Jose and Haryana’s Seema Antil too wrapped up their campaign on a bright note after winning their second gold medal. Sini, winner of the 400M on day two, stopped the clock in 200 metres at 23.94.
Seema, who had won the discus gold on the opening day, hurled the iron ball to 14.30 metres.
