JOIN USAdvani, who arrived here to take part in the Asian Snooker Championship told reporters that sports knows no boundaries and if he gets an opportunity to play in Pakistan, he will definitely like to tour the neighbouring country.
"Sports have a potential to bridge the divide between the people of the two countries," he said. Recalling his earlier tours of Pakistan, he said that no other country welcomed him the way the neighbouring nation did.
To a question on the security related issues, he said that many a times these sensitive issues are politically motivated. On the issue of giving Bharat Ratna to top sports personalities, he said without naming anyone that according to his opinion a player may be excellent and treated like god, but if the present rules did not permit to award him the highest honour, then this issue should not be raised at all.
