<p>Alemao, who had questioned the authority of Colaco to show cause him for his outburst on poor refereeing in the country, was let off by AIFF Disciplinary Committee with a warning after its meeting on April 20.<br /><br />AIFF had served a show cause notice on Alemao for his comments against match officials a day before his side’s AFC Cup match against Al Hilal of Yemen at Margao on April 6.<br />The outspoken Alemao had said that some of the Indian referees were inept in their job and favoured certain teams at the cost of other sides.<br /><br />The AIFF Disciplinary Committee also decided to suspend Sporting Clube de Goa vice-president Ryan Valles for 12 months besides imposing a penalty of Rs 2 lakh on him for attacking a match official in his side’s round 13 I-League match against East Bengal at Margao.<br /><br />Goa Football Association was also fined Rs 50,000 for “lack of security” in the stadium which led to the attack on the referee.<br /><br />The Indian Football Association, the West Bengal governing body, was also handed a fine of Rs 75,000 for the unruly behaviour of the spectators in two I-League matches at Yuva Bharati Krirangan and Howrah Stadium.<br /><br />Churchill goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya was also fined Rs 50,000 for a fight with a spectator during his side’s I-League match against Mohun Bagan at Barasat in January while IFA was also fined.</p>
