Shai Hope smashed a century as West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the first one-day international of a three-match series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Wednesday.

Hope hit 110 with 12 boundaries and a six as the home side reached their target with three overs to spare.
