<p>Bengaluru: In a surprising move, Karnataka pacer V Koushik has decided to shift to Goa from the upcoming season. The 32-year-old bowler confirmed on Tuesday that he had been given an no objection certificate (NOC) by the Karnataka State Cricket Association. </p>.<p>The right-arm bowler has had a great influence on Karnataka’s fortunes in the last couple of years, especially in white-ball cricket, with his crafty bowling.</p>.Despite IPL lure, Brook stays committed to English cricket.<p>He played a stellar role in Karnataka’s Vijay Hazare Trophy triumph earlier this year, emerging as their top-wicket taker with 18 scalps with one five-wicket haul.</p>.<p>He was the joint second highest wicket-taker overall along with Tamil Nadu’s Varun Chakravarthy and only behind Punjab pacer Arshdeep Singh (20). Koushik clarified that there was no pressure on him to leave the State and that his decision was purely based on pragmatism. </p>.<p>“In fact I was asked to stay back by KSCA for at least another year and try elsewhere, if I felt so,” Koushik said. “But I think, at this stage of my career, it’s good for me to make a move.</p>.<p>I am 32 and if I play another year or two, it’s difficult to get offers. </p>.<p>“I am not going to get an India call-up now, so it’s best I looked at prolonging my domestic career.” </p>.<p>In 23 first-class matches for Karnataka, the medium pacer claimed 93 wickets with four five-wicket haul.</p>.<p>In one-dayers, he scalped 88 in 44 games while picking 48 in 38 T20 matches.</p>.<p>“My only regret would be not winning a Ranji Trophy with Karnataka,but I am happy that I was a part of winning multiple premier BCCI white-ball tournaments."</p>
