Indian skipper Virat Kohli, along with many other senior players, underwent a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy here on Friday.

Kohli, who called off his country stint with Surrey owing to a neck injury, took the Yo-Yo Test in the presence of trainer Shankar Basu. In the first batch, along with Kohli, veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the test.

With the long tour of England beginning from July 3, the fitness test will determine the availability of the players. Kohli suffered a neck injury during the Indian Premier League season.

In the second batch, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Manish Pandey and Jasprit Bumrah took the endurance test, which is the mandatory requirement for selection as set by the Indian team management. The minimum score to pass the test is 16.1.

India will play three T20Is, three ODIs and five Test matches against England.
