Likith leads Jain dominance

Talented Likith SP led a day of Jain University dominance as the hosts bagged four gold medals with two meet record timings on the third day of the All India Inter University Swimming meet for men here on Tuesday.

Likith first smashed his own record in the 100M breastroke event, powering to victory in 1:04.62. He had set a new record of 1:05.14 during heats.

Likith was then involved in a thrilling 50M freestyle battle with Panjab University's Sahil Chopra, both swimmers touching the pad in identical timing of 24.33 seconds.

Likith then capped off a superb day, playing a key role in Jain University lads taking gold in the 4x100M medley relay with a record-breaking time of 3:57.25. This was the Jain lads third relay gold and all coming in new meet record timings.

Rakshith U Shetty bagged the fourth gold for Jain on the day, triumphing in the 50M butterfly.
