Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who will turn 59 years on Sunday, has decided to keep his birthday a low key affair.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Kumaraswamy will spend time with his family and will not be available for public at his JP Nagar residence. The CMO has said that his well wishers and followers can meet him after Belagavi legislature session.

In a tweet, he said, “I am pained at some tragic incidents. I am not in a mood to celebrate the birthday publicly.

Kumaraswamy has appealed to the party workers not to deface the city by mounting flexes and banners. “Your good wishes are blessings for me. Your concern for the environment is the best greeting,” he said in a message.

The CMO has also said that Kumaraswamy will participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Kamal Nath as the new chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.
