<p>Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for the treatment of two infants suffering from the rare Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) disease.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As both their children were born with this genetic condition, Deepa and Yenkappa Pujary of Saundatti taluk in Belagavi district approached Kumaraswamy on Tuesday for help.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In addition to the treatment cost, Kumaraswamy directed the Saundatti government hospital to employ Pujary on a temporary basis.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The EB disease results in easy blistering of and pain in the skin and mucous membranes.</p>
