Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao and KPCC working president Eshwar Khandre are expected to head to Delhi on Thursday to meet AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka K C Venugopal to hold talks on expanding the Cabinet.

Their meeting with Venugopal is likely to be followed up with a meeting with Congress president Rahul Gandhi. According to sources, ministerial aspirants M T B Nagaraju, M B Patil, H M Revanna, C S Shivalli, H K Patil, among others, will camp in Delhi to hold talks with party leaders.

The party has assured the legislators that on December 22, the Cabinet will either be expanded or rejigged, or both. A section of Congress leaders still believes that the Cabinet will not be expanded until after the Lok Sabha polls.
