Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao charged that BJP candidate Pralhad Joshi is the biggest liar in the country and he even overtook Narendra Modi in misguiding the people.

"B S Yeddyurappa and Pralhad Joshi said mere lies in Mahadayi issue, and they did not take a stand in favour of Karnataka," he said.

'Mafia politics'

"Narendra Modi is a mafia prime minister, while he and Amit Shah are playing mafia politics. They misused even IT Department, ED and CBI," Dinesh charged.

Speaking to media in the City on Saturday, he charged that Modi is a bluff-master, as he neither speaks about his performance nor about what he would do if comes to power again.

He could not fulfill assurances given in 2014, though he had full majority. Ram Mandir issue comes to fore only during elections, and BJP's manifesto this time is nothing but a repetition of its manifesto in 2014. Though its is a national election, Modi is just attacking the alliance government in the State, Dinesh charged.

To hide his failures, Modi is mentioning only airstrikes, terrorism and national security, playing emotion card. BJP has no development agenda, and is playing divisive politics, by saying that those who do not support it are anti-nationals, he charged.

The country has become 'majboor' due to wrong policies of Modi. BJP leaders are in illusion by projecting a fake Modi wave, and their defeat of 2004 would return this time, he noted.

Social justice

In Karnataka, BJP has not fielded candidates from OBC and minority communities. Then, how can they say 'Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas', State Congress chief asked.

Congress would win 16 to 17 seats, while JD(S) would win four to five seats in the State, he predicted, adding that the BJP would experience setback in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and other States also.

Veeranna Mattikatti, Altaf Hallur, Anilkumar Patil, Mahendra Singhi and others were present.
