Ex-KAS officer Thippeswamy nominated to Council

Governor Vajubhai Vala has accepted the recommendation made by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to nominate KAS officer Thippeswamy to the Legislative Council.

Formerly a Special Officer to Kumaraswamy’s brother and Public Works Minister H D Revanna, Thippeswamy is from Hassan.

Kumaraswamy had sent the recommendation to Raj Bhavan a few days back. There are two vacancies in the Upper House under nomination quota and the alliance partners – the JD(S) and the Congress - had come to an agreement to share one each.
