Fast unto death protest for IIT in Raichur

 Members of the IIT Allotment Action Committee will be holding a fast unto death protest from Monday onwards, in order to exert pressure on the Union Government to sanction IIT to Raichur.

Disclosing this to mediapersons here on Saturday, the Committee president, Basavaraj, said that a meeting of all the MLAs, MLCs and the MPs from the Hyderabad-Karnatak region, had been called on November 18 at the Legislatures’ House in Bengaluru.

Next action

The elected representatives will be taking crucial decisions with regards next action.
Plans will be chalked out with regards to agitations and protests to be held, both inside and outside the Legislature, the president informed.

The committee members will also meet Chief Minsiter Siddaramaiah and urge him to conduct a Cabinet ministers’ meeting.

Delegation

The committee will also discuss about taking out a delegation to be taken to Delhi, to meet the prime minister.

Leader of Opposition Jagadish Shettar and BJP State unit President Pralhad Joshi will also be invited to attend the meeting.
