Earlier, the match ended in a tame 1-1 draw after full time with Mujhbar Ahmad scoring for Davangere in the 48th minute and Safwath netting the ball in the 76th minute. However, Udupi maintained their cool in the penalty shoot-out to emerge as the winners.<br /><br />Inauguration<br /></p>.<p>Earlier inaugurating the tournament by kicking off a football, MLA V Srinivasa Prasad said that preparations are underway to host an all India-level Dr B R Ambedkar Memorial Football Tournament. He said that the city had produced its share of national-level footballers. <br /><br />However with Bangalore becoming the State’s capital, majority of the players shifted from Mysore, he added.</p>
