Relief materials for flood-victims

Six trucks carry groceries, utensils, stove, clothes and medicines

Six trucks carried groceries, utensils, stove, clothes and other necessary materials to 500 families of three villages from Muddenahalli in the taluk to Bagalkot. Medicines worth Rs 3 lakh and six doctors also travelled with the relief materials. The alumni of Malleswaram Satyasai Seva Kendra and Muddenahalli Satyasai Institute have joined hands to raise the necessary funds.

A simple programme was organised before the trucks started journey. Speaking on the occasion, the manager of Whitefield Brundavan, Narasimhamurthy said that the Satyasaibaba institutions will extend help to people in all the ten districts affected by flood. Ten separate teams are travelling from Muddenahalli to assist in relief works. In the first stage, food and other materials are being distributed to people who have lost their home and hearth in three villages of Bagalkot district. He disclosed that it is also being planned to adopt few villages. Each family is being provided with 5 kg rice, wheat and sugar each one kg, biscuits for one week, sambar items, five zinc sheets, utensils, bleaching powder, footwear, bedsheet and mat. The trucks carried as many as 500 boxes containing these materials.

President of Satyasaibaba Institutions, Nagesh Dakappa, N S S Murthy, Janakiram, M K Ramachandra, secretary of Muddenahalli Satyasai Educational Institutions, Narayana Rao, principal Satyanarayana Rao and others were present.
