AICC General Secretary and in charge of Karnataka K C Venugopal said that Congress and JD(S) leaders will discuss seat sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, after February 10.

Speaking to media persons in Mangaluru on Sunday, he said there are no factions in the Congress. “We are like one family under the leadership of AICC President Rahul Gandhi. All the rumours of factions in the Congress are baseless. We have full confidence in Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and the JD(S)-Congress coalition government will complete its full term.
Rumours on lack of coordination in the government started on the day coalition government came into existence in Karnataka,” he said.

“There is no doubt in BJP is conducting Operation Kamala. They are offering money and power to our MLAs. The BJP is desperate without power. On the one hand, they speak on morality in politics in Delhi, on the other hand, they (BJP) are engaged in cheap politics to come to power in Karnataka. They are trying to kill democracy,” he alleged.

“I have full confidence in my MLAs in Karnataka,” he added.

KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao said that the Congress will stage a protest on February 4, in Bengaluru against the Hindu Mahasabha leader who recreated Gandhi's assassination by shooting an effigy of Gandhi recently. The protest will be held across the country, he added.
