Last Updated 03 May 2018, 07:16 IST

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday charged that law and order situation in Karnataka had collapsed.

He was speaking at a poll campaign at Vikasashram grounds in Sirsi.

"The law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh is very much under control, but it has collapsed in Karnataka," he said.

"The Karnataka government has failed to act despite an increase in the number of the murder of Hindu activists. The law and order situation in any state is a reflection of the mindset of the party in power. The Congress government has failed to develop Karnataka," he said.

Adityanath charged that the Congress party was sheltering Jihadists, while the Uttar Pradesh government had successfully curbed them.

"Many farmers in Karnataka committed suicide, but the Congress government failed to provide justice to the families of the farmers," he said.

"Karnataka should move on the path of development and the BJP should be voted to power in this regard," he said.

Union Minister of State for Skill Development Entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde, Former minister Visveshwar Hegde Kageri and V S Patil were present.

The BJP candidates fell at Adityanath's feet and sought his blessings.
