Man stabs two children, held

A man has stabbed two children, who were playing in front of their house, at Preethi Nagara in Shaktinagara in Mangaluru.

The injured have been identified as Hardik (4) and Chirag (9). They are recuperating at a hospital.

Police arrested the accused Devaraj alias Annu (40), for stabbing the children.

The children were playing in front of their house when Devaraj, who was disturbed and irritated by their game, attacked and stabbed them.

It is said that Devaraj was mentally ill and was also an alcoholic.

The police produced him before the magistrate, who in turn remanded him in judicial custody.
