The district special court has rejected the bail application of journalist Chandra K Hemmadi, who is facing charges of sexually assaulting children.
There are 21 cases registered against Hemmadi under the Pocso Act in Byndoor, Gangolli, Kundapur and Kollur stations. He had applied for bail through his advocate to a case registered at the Byndoor police station.
Public prosecutor Vijaya Vasu Poojary had objected to granting of bail to the journalist, sources said.
