Moderate rain in Kodagu, Shivamogga

Several parts of the state received moderate to heavy rains on Wednesday. Dharwad and surrounding areas received heavy and intermittent rains since Tuesday night. The showers have resumed after a week-long break.

Kodagu district received an average of 13.27 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. The water level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2,857.08 feet. The inflow of water to the reservoir was 3,037 cusecs while 1,229 cusecs water was released into the river.

Mangaluru did not receive rainfall. In the last 24 hours, DK district had received an average of 35.4 mm rainfall.

Moderate and intermittent rains continued to lash Shivamogga district on Wednesday.
Thirthahalli, Sagar, Hosanagar, parts of Bhadravathi, Shivamogga received moderate rains.

Water level in Linganamakki dam rose to 1,792 feet against the maximum level of 1,819 feet as catchment area received rainfall of 13.40 mm. The inflow of water was 8,942 cusecs.

Water level in Mani dam rose to 584.91 metre against the maximum of 594.36 metres.
There were reports of moderate rains in Uttara Kannada district. While it drizzled in the morning in Karwar, Kumta and Honnavar, there was moderate rain in Ankola. The district recorded an average rainfall of 367 mm in the last 24 hours.
