Molkalmuru MLA S Thippeswamy asserted on Wednesday that there was no question of going back on his decision to contest the election from the constituency.
He said he would file his papers as an independent candidate after holding a meeting with his supporters. The MLA said he had undertaken many development works in the constituency in the last five years.
Thippeswamy questioned as to how Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath could accompany BJP candidate Sriramulu while filing his nomination on April 21, when his own state was besotted with problems, including a girl's rape recently.
