Former prime minister and JD(S) national president, H D Deve Gowda, on Sunday exuded the confidence of the coalition government completing its term.

“Congress leader and coalition coordination committee chairman Siddaramaiah himself has assured that there is no danger for the coalition government. So, there is no need to create confusion among the people about the survival of the coalition government,” he said.

Speaking after launching various development works taken up at a cost of Rs 1,650 crore, in Hassan district, he said, “Siddaramaiah who was a close confidante once, joined another party due to various reasons. He went on to become the chief minister.

“But, he has now ensured that there will not be any problem for the coalition government and will complete five years term. Congress, which has a history of 130 years, has the ability to resolve the issues,” he added.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was prime minister for 13 days. He, however, ensured the smooth functioning of the House when I was the prime minister. Yeddyurappa should understand this. Kumaraswamy came to power after he (BSY) failed to prove majority, Gowda said.
