Rescue forces relieved

As rain continued to be moderate showing signs that normalcy would prevail, the district administration relieved all the rescue forces except 62 personnel of National Disaster Response Force in case of emergency.

Indian Navy's 12 surface rescuers, 720 personnel from fire force, SDRF, Home Guards, civil defence and Air Force personnel with three aircraft as well as 300 NCC, Scouts and Guides were relieved, as per a release.

The number of persons at 32 relief camps came down to 3,227. The release put the death toll at 17. Officials said there were no distress calls nor any information about persons missing in the disaster.
