Congress leader Shankar Munavalli has raised objection for the induction of Ramesh Jarkiholi in the H D Kumaraswamy cabinet.

"Accommodating members of the same family in the cabinet frequently should be condemned," he told reporters.

"The Congress party high command's decision of offering a ministerial berth to Ramesh Jarkiholi is improper. One of the three MLAs Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Anjali Nimbalkar or Ganesh Hukkeri should have been accommodated instead of Ramesh Jarkiholi. The Congress party has not ensured balance in the cabinet formation. Belagavi district has not been properly represented," he said.

Munavalli charged that he lost an opportunity to contest from Belgaum Dakshin Assembly constituency due to Ramesh Jarkiholi's conspiracy.

"Ramesh had claimed that he would retire from politics if the Congress party did not win 10 seats in the district. Why is he continuing in politics? Why is he not fulfilling his own promise?" Munavalli asked.

He expressed displeasure over the functioning style of KPCC president G Parameshwara and senior minister D K Shivakumar.

"If Parameshwara and Shivakumar continue to give priority to their supporters, then the party will bite the dust in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections," he warned.
He blamed Siddaramaiah for the defeat of the Congress in the recently concluded Assembly elections.

He urged the party leaders not to surrender the party to the JD(S). Loyal party workers should be given priority while appointing heads for boards and corporations.
