In the latest twist in the plot in the Congress-JD(S) coalition story, Siddaramaiah on Wednesday publicly opposed Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy’s budgetary measure to hike petrol and diesel rates.
This is a U-turn Siddaramaiah has taken.
Immediately after the budget, Siddaramaiah had said the fuel tax hike would not burden the common man.
He also asked the CM to restore the supply of 7 kg of rice under the Anna Bhagya scheme.
