Dharwad tragedy: BJP wants Cong leader's arrest

The state BJP has demanded Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to ensure that the culprits behind the Dharwad building collapse are arrested.

Party spokesperson Go Madhusudhan said on Thursday that Gangappa Shintri, one of the arrested in connection with the incident, happens to be father-in-law of Congress leader Vinay Kulkarni. “It is the benami property owned by the Congress leader. The government should instruct the police to arrest the Congress leader after registering an FIR,” he said.
