Tree catches fire due to lightning

A coconut tree near Mahavir circle in the city caught fire due to lightning on Sunday evening.

Some branches of the tree were burnt. The rains that lashed the city for one hour doused the flame. Sagar, Thirthahalli, Shikaripur, Bhadravathi, Hosanagara taluks received moderate to heavy rains.
