UVCE: Govt plans to allot 10% seats for Karnataka domicile students
Higher Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar disclosed this to the media after returning from a visit to Indian Institute of Technology-Gandhinagar to study the model. The minister said that developing the institute just doesn’t mean providing infrastructure.

Expert panel to decide UVCE’s fate
To put an end to the on-going tussle between Bangalore University (BU) and Bangalore Central University (BCU) over taking the authority of University Vishveshvaraya College Of Engineering (UVCE), the newly appointed principal secretary higher education department had chaired the meeting along with both the Vice-Chancellors on Monday. The meeting chaired by Anil Kumar, principal secretary, Higher Education department decided to go ahead with the earlier decision, where the expert committee will be formed to decide the faith of the UVCE.
