Technology companies Samsung, iQOO, Oppo, Asus, Garmin and others launched smartphones, smartwatches, computers, accessories, and more this week (March 10-16, 2025).

DH's Gadgets Weekly edition lists the latest personal technology products to keep you abreast of everything happening in consumer electronics.

Garmin Enduro 3 series

The new flagship Garmin Enduro 3 series is crafted from premium materials, including a titanium variant with a DLC coating, the smartwatch combines exceptional durability with a lightweight design. It meets military-grade standards for resistance to thermal stress, shock, and water.

It boasts of advanced performance metrics such as endurance score, real-time stamina tracking, VO2 max (maximal oxygen consumption during exercise), recovery time, and training readiness, which help athletes fine-tune their performance.

Garmin Enduro 3 comes preloaded with TopoActive maps, and multi-band GNSS to ensure precise location tracking and seamless navigation for off-road adventures.

It can track physical sports such as swimming, biking, golfing, and skiing, along with animated workouts for cardio, strength, yoga, and Pilates.

It can track heart rate (24/7), feature Pulse Ox sensor, Body Battery energy monitoring, stress tracking, and advanced sleep insights for overall well-being.

It also comes with built-in safety features, including LiveTrack and incident detection.

It also supports two-way messaging via the Garmin Messenger app, smart notifications, and safety features like incident detection.

It is equipped with Power Glass solar charging technology, the Enduro 3 extends battery life significantly, allowing ultra-athletes to train and compete without frequent recharging.

Garmin Enduro 3 Series is available with a starting price of Rs 1,05,990 and comes with a two-year warranty.

Samsung Galaxy F16 5G

The new Galaxy F16 5G sports a 6.7-inch Full HD (1080×2340p) Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, hybrid dual-SIM slots (SIM-1 + SIM-2 or microSD card), speakers and a Type-C USB port.

Inside, it houses a 6nm class MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB / 6GB / 8GB RAM, 128GB storage (expandable up to 1.5TB), One UI 6.0-based on Android 14, triple-camera module-- main 50MP (with f/1.8 aperture, Auto Focus) + 5MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor + 2MP (f/2.2) macro camera with LED flash on the back, a 13MP (f/2.0) front camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charger.

The new Samsung phone comes in three colours-- bling black, glam green and vibing blue. It is available in three configurations--for 4GB RAM + 128GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB models-- for Rs 12,499, Rs 13,999, and Rs 15,499, respectively.

The GM-5600YM boasts of a monochromatic silver color scheme with robust metal bezel paired with a newly developed Tough Silicone band, offering both durability and a sleek, modern finish.

This G-Steel series is the first shock-resistant G-Shock watch to feature the Tough Silicone Band. This new band leverages the properties of silicone as a material to provide flexibility and an even more comfortable fit on the wrist.

The G-SHOCK G-Steel GM-5600YMG-9DR comes in sleek monochromatic gold finish with rugged build quality. This timepiece features a gold metal bezel, paired with a newly developed Tough Silicone band in the same bold, gleaming shade. It costs Rs 22,995.

The band’s surface is treated with vapor deposition to achieve a striking metallic sheen, offering the glimmer of metal with the comfort of silicone. It costs Rs 24,995.

Asus Zenbook A14 and Vivobook 16 series

The Zenbook A14 features a Ceraluminum chassis - a fusion of ceramic and aluminum. Weighing a mere 980 grams and 30 per cent lighter than traditional aluminum, this ultra-sleek laptop offers a stone-like texture that’s as tactile as it is tough, boasting three times the strength and military-grade durability. It will be available in two colours-- Iceland Gray and Zabriskie Beige.

It certified with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black, it offers vibrant, true-to-life visuals, enhanced by adaptive color gamuts and OLED Care to prevent burn-in.

The Asus Zenbook A14 (UX3407QA) and Zenbook A14 (UX3407RA) are priced Rs 99,990 and Rs 1,29,990, respectively.

The Vivobook 16 sports a in a sleek design language. It flaunts a slim 17.9 mm profile and weighing just 1.88 kg, the Vivobook 16 combines portability with a stunning 16-inch FHD+ IPS display. Its versatile 180° hinge and unibody design with a micro hinge cap elevate both form and function, while the AI-powered camera with adaptive dimming and lock features ensures security and clarity.

Samsung releases 40-minute 'Solve for Tomorrow' documentary

Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow 2024 contest winners.

The documentary highlights the creativity, ingenuity, and resilience of the winning teams – Eco Tech Innovator and METAL and their innovative yet distinct approaches to tackle one of the most pressing social issues of India – arsenic contamination of water. The documentary will be telecast on JioHotstar.

The third edition of this programme features participants from remote regions of India, underlining the reach of this initiative. Sayed Safrahan Ullah Khabir of Team Eco-Tech belongs to Golaghat in Assam, while the three members of Team Metal originate from Bihar.

Team Eco Tech Innovator, hailing from Golaghat, Assam, developed a non-electric, affordable filter designed to remove arsenic from water and convert it into a valuable bioproduct. The filter uses a multi-layer filtration system with fluoride and arsenic elimination, pH balancing, and essential mineral infusion, ensuring safe drinking water. The solution provides communities with access to clean water while creating economic value by transforming contaminants into useful byproducts.

Team METAL, based in Udupi, Karnataka and Patna, Bihar, designed a three-stage filtration structure that efficiently removes arsenic from groundwater. The process begins with basic pre-filtration, followed by a multi-zone purification system, and ends with post-filtration using a semi-permeable cloth membrane. Their technology ensures the delivery of clean, safe drinking water to underserved communities.
