Finding a perfect date or a partner using a dating app is difficult, especially for an introvert. And, also there are cases of criminals creating fake profiles and extorting potential victims.

So, sometimes people tend to show the profile or photos of their potential partner to friends. If they get positive feedback from their inner circle of loved ones, he/she will decide whether to go on a date or not.

Tinder commissioned OnePoll to do a research study in the US, Australia, and the UK. The report showed more than 75 per cent of single people discuss their dating profile with their friends several times a month before finally deciding on a date.

Now, the world's most popular dating service platform Tinder has announced a new matchmaking feature that allows users' friends and family members to play matchmaker to select a partner.

Tinder's new matchmaker is available in India, United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam. The company plans to expand the feature to more regions in the coming months.

Here's how matchmaker feature works on Tinder:

---You can find the Tinder Matchmaker session tab available on the profile card, or within app settings.

--And, then you can share the unique link of the profile card with up to 15 friends in a 24-hour period.

--Then, the user's friends who play the matchmaker can either log in to Tinder or continue as a guest (after completing an age verification prompt and agreeing to Tinder’s terms as outlined).

--As noted earlier, the Matchmakers get 24 hours to study the profile and if they know that person, they can share their thoughts with the Tinder user.

In that, the matchmaker can also browse through the Tinder app and recommend profiles for the Tinder user. But, he/she won’t be able to chat or send messages on the Tinder user's behalf.

--Once the session expires, Tinder users will have the opportunity to review the profiles their matchmakers’ Like for them. Profiles that received a Like from a matchmaker will be marked as a 'recommendation' (profiles sent a Nope won’t change).

--The Tinder user still makes the final call on who to Like - but now knows who their friends are rooting for.
