Top premium flagship smartphones slated for launch in second half of 2025

Google, Apple, Samsung and others are expected to bring ultra premium smartphones in the second half of 2025.

In the first half of 2025, OnePlus kicked off the new year with its flagship OnePlus 13 phone series. Later in the month, Samsung unveiled the premium Galaxy S25 series.

In the following months, many others followed suit. Xiaomi, Oppo and Motorola introduced their phones-- Xiaomi 15, and 15 Ultra along with Find N5 series and Razr 60, 60 Ultra series foldable phones, respectively.

With two weeks left before July kicks in, we will list some of the most anticipated premium phones slated for launch in the second half of 2025.

Nothing Phone 3

Nothing's Phone 3 is set for launch on July 1.

It is touted to be the company's first true flagship device to date.

Nothing Inc co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the upcoming Phone 3 will cost around £800 (approx. Rs 91,336).

Nothing Phone 3 is expected to come with Qualcomm 8 series chipset.

In the recent teaser, the company revealed that it has ditched the Glyph interface for the Phone 3. It is expected to feature an improved version of Glyph UI, probably a secondary display.

More details will be revealed in the coming weeks, as the company is known to reveal key features as it gets close to the launch day.

Vivo X Fold 5

Vivo Fold X3 Pro series.

Vivo's new X Fold 5 series is expected to first launch in China later this month on June 25. However, the global variant is said to make its debut in India and other international markets in July.

There is a superstitious cultural belief in China about 4 being unlucky omen. So, Vivo is bringing X Fold 5 to succeed the X Fold 3 series.

It is said to come with high-resolution 8.03-inch 8T (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) LTPO-based AMOLED display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset and a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging speed.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 series

Samsung has already begun teasing the Galaxy Fold series phones. Like the Galaxy S25 series, it is bringing an Ultra version in addition to the regular Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip.

The Galaxy Z Fold Ultra is touted to be the slimmest and lightest foldable phone in its class. Also, it will be made of sturdier materials to ensure the device sustains daily wear and tear and survives water splashes.

Also, it will have a compact cover display so that it can be easily used single-handedly to quickly reply to messages or operate other day-to-day activities such as web browsing, scrolling on social media apps, play games for hours with less effort.

Details of the regular models-- Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7-- are yet to be revealed. We have to wait for the launch event, which is expected to happen around the second or third week of July, for confirmation.

Google Pixel 10 series

Google is speculated to launch the Pixel 10 series either in the last week of July or early August.

Pixel 10 is said to come in four variants-- Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

They will be powered by Google's proprietary Tensor G5 silicon. It is expected to come with several generative AI tools with improvements such as Gemini Live, Magic Editor, Audio Editor, and more.

Apple iPhone 17 series

Apple is expected to host the fall hardware event in September.

Like the previous iterations, Apple will be launching the iPhone 17 series in four variants. However, this time, it said to bring a special iPhone 17 model, which is likely to be called either iPhone 17 Slim or iPhone 17 Air.

The iPhone 17 Air, which replaces the iPhone 16 Plus model, is touted to feature a super slim structure with just 5.5mm thickness. Due to the design limitation, Apple may remove the physical SIM slot.

It is said to sport a 6.55-inch display and Apple may use a new type of high energy-density battery cell, which can store more power and occupy less space than compared to conventional phone batteries used in the current crop of premium phones.

Apple will use an OLED display with Pro Motion technology on all four iPhone 17 variants. They will also support a 120Hz refresh rate. And, they will come with A19 series silicon.
