Musk announces new rules to get X Premium & Premium+ for free

Elon Musk made the announcement via his account on X (formerly Twitter).

Elon Musk has made some changes for X (formerly Twitter) users, he announced in a social media post.

Now, accounts with over 2,500 verified subscriber followers will get Premium features for free and those with over 5,000 will get Premium+ for free.

For the uninitiated, Premium subscription user get privileges such as checkmark, reduced ads, access to apply for ads revenue sharing and creator subscriptions, ID verification, Media Studio and more.

Premium users will also get larger reply prioritisation. Here, X platform will rank replies from Premium subscribers higher than those from non-subscribers.

With Premium+, subscribers get all the benefits of Premium and additionally, there will be no ads in the For You section and Following timelines, largest reply prioritisation, and access to articles from premium news websites.

And, another big perk of getting Premium+ is that the user gets access to Grok AI chatbot. For now, Grok AI is available in select global regions.

Elon Musk recently announced that Grok AI will be made available to Premium subscribers. But, there is no information on when exactly it will happen.
