The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) police arrested K Bidare village accountant Devarajappa while he was accepting a bribe for sanctioning the widow pension.
It is said that Gangamma of K B Bidare Tandya village had submitted applications seeking widow pension. Devarajappa had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 for sanctioning the pension.
Gangamma had complained to the ACB sleuths about it. Accordingly, the ACB police arrested him while he was accepting the bribe.
