Earthquake hits Japan's Ishikawa prefecture

Tokyo: An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 hit Japan's Ishikawa prefecture on Monday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, the agency said.
